SUMMARY

The Advertising Specialist is responsible for managing the creative process for the market. The successful candidate will be an expert in managing multiple projects, opening creative request forms for briefs, providing copy points, reviewing and proofing all creative and communications, design work within Adobe and design software, and displaying a strong work ethic and ability to timely complete projects.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates in-house and outside agency related projects through effective allocation of resources, monitors workflow for the market for direct mail, and communicates with internal requesting departments to ensure fulfillment of media and production deadlines in a timely, quality, and cost-effective manner.
  • Supervise media allocation and production schedules in compliance with established marketing department guidelines and ensures the achievement of property plan objectives.
  • Responsible for proofing all creative, communications, and website submissions.
  • Successfully identifies copy writing errors and displays strong attention to detail when proofing.
  • Succinctly produces creative request forms with correct info provided to the shared services team.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines, to ensure timely delivery of direct and digital communications.
  • Oversees outside agencies; monitors communication; ensures maintenance of, and adherence to, budgetary guidelines and timely and accurate delivery of advertising materials.
  • Conducts meetings with internal departments (special events, F&B, Hotel and Casino Ops) to recommend appropriate and cost-effective advertising programs consistent with the overall goals and priorities of the property strategic plan.
  • Maintains ownership of on-going programs: I.e.; Website - update and maintain.
  • Manages on-property photo and still shoots with outside agencies and photographers.
  • Creates front of house signage, digital media for coolsigns and website through graphic design skills.
  • Directs Purchasing Department to ensure that user departments’ deadlines are achieved.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Graphic design experience and training with Adobe and design software is required.
  • Marketing copywriting skills ideal
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Self-starter that demonstrates outstanding organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through and ability to manage multiple project responsibilities concurrently.
  • Must be able to work with urgency and meet deadlines.
  • Must proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage resources.
