Kitchen Assistant

Key Objectives:

• Provide a clean environment for guests and Team Members.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Transfer food inventory from warehouse to kitchen, between kitchens, and restocking areas as instructed.
• Receives and unloads product in stocking storage rooms, walk-in refrigerators and freezers and makes deliveries to appropriate outlets.
• Responsible for the organization, rotation, and labeling of products and sanitation of storage areas.
• Assist in putting restocking areas of each kitchen and storage areas. Unpacks according to instructions
• Use carts to transport items to be restock.
• Puts away delivered product in a timely manner following health code.
• Ensure that all supplies are delivered as requested and notify management of any discrepancies.
• Report daily counts and/or record on tracking logs for ordering and control purposes.
• Cleans the assigned areas to include the removal of trash, boxes and pallets as well as transport cart storage.
• Follow protocols set forth by the Warehouse team and communicate appropriately.
• Following property training for use of pallet jacks.
• Assist the stewarding team in the dish pits as assigned.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly deep cleaning projects as assigned.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work place by following safety rules and regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of America money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by PENN Entertainment, Inc. auto insurance carrier.
