ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable to maximize daily sales and effectively manage costs, labor and cash control.
  • Works closely with slot gaming and table games management team and other department leaders to ensure all aspects of gaming operations for the property including staffing, repair and maintenance, game operations, cleanliness, organization, service timing, quality product, cash handling and administrative responsibilities are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Ultimately responsible for all aspects of guest relations and the quality experience staff delivers to customers.
  • Empowers management and staff to deliver a "world class" guest experience to all guests.
  • Ensures the highest level of quality and standards.
  • Assures management and staff morale is maintained at a high level.
  • Oversees the effective recruitment, selection, training, recognition, coaching, separation and other human resources related issues.
  • Evaluates staff performance and provides feedback.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Follows up and reviews all customer comments and / or complaints.
  • Utilizes effective communication tools to ensure that consistent, accurate and timely information is provided through the shifts.
  • Ensures that staff behavior and appearance are in compliance with established standards.
  • Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff. Maintains harmony among staff and resolves grievances.
  • Participates in meetings and training as required.
  • Maintains complete confidentiality of all company information at all times.
  • Performs all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must demonstrate leadership and fairness in dealing with customers and employees; and possess the ability to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in staff.
  • Must have a track record of performing each essential responsibility satisfactorily.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS  

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university; a minimum of ten years of comparable casino operations experience with progressive responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word).
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and comprehend technical procedures, state regulations, technical journals, business periodicals, instructions, and correspondence/memos; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Is effective at presenting information and responding to questions and/or concerns from management, staff, customers, public groups, regulatory agencies, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical and mathematical formulas.
  • Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Thorough knowledge of slot and technical operations.
  • Results oriented, hands-on professional with the ability to interact with the public, staff and colleagues Must have the ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must demonstrate leadership and fairness in dealing with customers and employees; and possess the ability to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in staff.
  • Knowledge of database software.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents In English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area,

Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
