  • Responsible for fostering a fun environment
  • Responsible for being a gracious host to all guests and co-workers
  • Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events
  • Efficiently assists and explains pari-mutuel and racing operations
  • Assist Managers with all aspects of Racings operations including monitoring of simulcast, pari-mutuels and timing/photo finish
  • Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures, regulatory requirements or restrictions, and any Union collective bargaining agreement.
  • Must be knowledgeable on rules and regulations of The Massachusetts Racing Commission
  • Create and maintain an environment of mutual and reciprocal trust, respect and confidence within the department and when dealing with internal/external guests
  • Reward, recognize, coach and counsel department employees
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of employee performance and department incidents
  • Must be available to work for any training, schooling, racing or qualifying hours
  • Adhere to all Corporate and local policies, procedures, and operating guidelines

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
  • Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret routine business documents. 
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. 
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.  
  • Knowledge of pari-mutuel operations
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
