WE LOVE OUR WORK.

  • Effectively comprehends Special Event Orders to insure all guest requests are delivered.
  • Assists in the set up and break down of special events.
  • Sets up bar and serves guests bar drinks as needed.
  • Enter all orders into micros in a timely matter when working as a cashier, server or bartender.
  • Observes diners to respond to any additional requests.
  • Follows steps of service as outlined in training manual.
  • Totals bill and accepts payment in accordance with all Food and Beverage internal controls as needed.
  • Maintains proper table maintenance standards when serving guests.
  • Completes any task assigned by manager, supervisor or chef.
  • Communicates immediately to the supervisor all guest comments or concerns.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management
  • Regular participation in scheduled special events are required
  • Adhere to HCCTR as well as all Food and Beverage Policies and service standards.
  • Must deliver ACES Guest Service to every guest during every transaction.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and Company standards and programs.
  • Committed to consistently delivering the highest quality of food & service to local and international guests in order to ensure repeat visits.
  • Ensure that sanitation in all food outlets meets and/or exceeds Health Department and OSHA guidelines.
  • Demonstrate and exhibit characteristics and behavior in accordance with Property and Departmental Service Guarantees, and Property Core Values.
  • Maintains professional grooming and appearance and acts as a role model according to established grooming and appearance policy.
  • Maintains valid WV Racing License, Food Handlers permit and TIPS certifications

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Applicant must possess a High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.
  • Must be able to obtain proper Food Handler Certification.
  • Must be TIPS certified. TIPS training and certification will be conducted during New Hire Orientation at no cost to the team member.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk climb steps; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell.  The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock.  Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
