Our Vice President of Finance, Multi-Property will play a pivotal role in driving the financial strategy for two properties - Hollywood Joliet and Hollywood Aurora - while being at the forefront of an exciting transformation. WE LOVE OUR WORK.

  • Performs functions to plan, organize, direct, and control the Accounting, Purchasing, Credit, and Cage operations for our Joliet and Aurora casinos
  • Provides a high level of customer service and promoting a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests and team members.
  • Formulates, directs, and participates in the development and implementation of goals and objectives for the Accounting, Purchasing, IS, Credit, and Cage departments at our Joliet and Aurora properties.
  • Coordinates and administers a plan for the control of operations: provides profit planning, sales forecasts, expense budgets, accounts receivable, cost standards, saving opportunities, and capital investing together with the necessary controls and procedures to complete the plan.
  • Compares performance with operating plans and standards; provides reports and interprets the results of operations to all levels of management.
  • Forecasts short-range cash requirements and obligations, as a basis for maintaining adequate funds.
  • Monitors credit and collection applications, collection methods, performance, and outstanding balances.
  • Keeps the President, Chief Financial Officer, and General Manager informed of the division’s performance and provides advice on all financial matters.
  • Reviews purchase orders and capital investments.
  • Assures protection of casino assets through internal controls, internal auditing, and ensuring proper insurance coverage.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited four-year college or university required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA strongly preferred but not required.
  • Must have ten (10) years of Accounting, Audit, or Finance experience; CPA highly preferred. Gaming experience preferred but not required.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various metrics, financial reports, legal documents, business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be highly organized and have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.
  • Ability to manage employees working in a high-pressure environment towards successful results for multiple properties and the company.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                    

This job has supervisory responsibilities. 

 

  • Responsible for staff development and training programs. 
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement. 
  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to team members in regards to performance. 
  • Provides recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs. 
  • Manages work procedures and expedites workflow. 
  • Provides recommendation for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling). 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS  

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required. 

 

REASONING ABILITY  

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS 

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations. Gaming License, and Nevada Alcohol Awareness Card are required.
