  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for more than one property for the risk and safety job duties
    • Responsible for promoting, implementing and tracking the Penn Risk Control Guide program
    • Responsible for managing all aspects of general liability, safety, workers’ compensation with Dept Director.
    • Responsible for handling the investigation and coordination of general liability and workers’ compensation claims, OSHA compliance, fire regulations and safety policies and procedures
    • Provide direction to the TPA as needed and initiate attorney interaction on risk/safety claims
    • Establish procedures to ensure proper tracking, analysis and recordkeeping of all claims
    • Ensure compliance with all federal/state laws including, but not limited to OSHA, and DOT regulations
    • Responsible for reviewing all claims costs associated with risk claims, loss, etc. with the TPA and Director
    • Analyze loss data to determine what areas need special attention and inform management of the results to include appropriate recommendations
    • Maintains files of certificates of insurance for all contractors, subcontractors and outside vendors
    • Monitors for an effective workplace safety program by coordinating and playing an active role in Safety Week, Wellness Awareness and Light Duty Programs and the property’s inspection program.
    • Coordinate the development and implementation of loss prevention/reduction goals for each department
    • Interface with Corporate Risk Management for assistance when necessary.
    • Direct the safety committee and develop material for monthly meetings
    • Other job duties as deemed necessary.Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
  • Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a polite environment with our guests
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in Risk Management. Or Strong background in Loss Control/Safety or related field preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
  • Ability to multi task as necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill, with the ability to handle difficult guest interactions.
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
