SUMMARY

The AV and Entertainment Manager is responsible for company assets within the Audio-Visual and Entertainment department. Coordinate and be the point person for all group sales events, including conventions, weddings, and non-profit gala’s audio-visual requirements are properly planned, executed and maintained. Lead the team in execution of all Event Center concerts. Oversees the entire scope of AV and Entertainment for the entire property with a heavy emphasis on group sales events, including but not limited to client communication, planning, and day of operation. Lead the AV team including direct supervision over the Assistant Entertainment Manager.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • The AV and Entertainment Manager will work with the Group Sales department to execute internal and external meetings, conventions, weddings and non-profit events.
  • Assist in the development of design and production specifications of all group sales events to ensure that a production schedule is maintained and secured.
  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day aspects of the AV department.
  • Develops, implements, and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives in defined area.
  • Creates effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department and provides recommendations; ensures compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reports budget concerns to manager.
  • Ensures that the department adheres to proper uniform standards based on the event.
  • In coordination with the Corporate Entertainment team, execute all Event Center concerts including necessary planning, contract negotiation, staffing, box office management and concert execution.
  • In coordination with the Director of Marketing, ensure that all property entertainment is planned timely and executed including but not limited to weekly entertainment bookings, Marketing events, and annual celebrations.
  • Oversee operation and maintenance of systems in the event center as needed.
  • Oversee operation and maintenance of casino av systems.
  • The AV and Entertainment Manager will coordinate with other departments and internal/external guests to ensure all AV needs are met and events occur without incident. (Provide logistics for events)
  • Ensure technical support for AV hardware, control systems, and signal issues to both AV and non-AV team members throughout our property.
  • Specify equipment needs for AV programs and events of various sizes.
  • When possible, repair equipment power supplies, circuits, consoles, etc… in house to save on costs.
  • Ensure that there is a delegate at all BEO meetings and when possible, attend the meetings.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS  

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university in Marketing, Finance, or related field; five (5) years of progressively more challenging leadership roles in AV, Entertainment Operations with a strong emphasis in Audio Visual.
  • Group or Event Audio Visual experience: 2 years
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends to accommodate business demands.
  • Must be willing to work varied shifts to accommodate business demands.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other similar computer applications
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain valid gaming license

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of an Associate’s Degree in marketing, project management or related field and 3 years experience in marketing or special events related field or equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

STARTING SALARY

Starting at $65,000 annually, based on experience.
