• Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
•  Orders goods, supplies and materials as assigned by the Buyers and/or the Purchasing Manager.
•  Exercises buying responsibilities and judgments on the basis of "best value," considering quantity desired, quality and specifications, delivery time, vendor reliability, service and cost, as necessary.
• Conducts surveys, researches issues, and prepares detailed reports addressing conclusions.
•  Performs special functions as required by the Purchasing Manager.

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous Purchasing experience in a hotel/casino/F&B environment strongly preferred.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.
• Ability to review and comprehend purchase orders, necessary reports, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, as well as all levels of employees.
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard, typewriter and adding machine.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently move around all work areas.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior experience with computerized purchasing systems helpful.
• Clerical background preferred.
