WE LOVE OUR WORK.

  • Responsible for directing the overall operations and staff of the Security and Surveillance departments. Develops, implements, and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Ensures that scheduling is done in an effective and efficient manner, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.  Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.  Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.    
  • Develops, evaluates, enforces, reviews, and approves changes or revisions to operating practices, procedures and standards based on business trends and practices.
  • Provides for the safety of team members including keeping areas free of safety hazards, debris, and litter.
  • Identifies and resolves security related problems.
  • Develops and implements alternative methods for security and surveillance operation improvement.
  • Examines and analyzes the physical property, processes and procedures and develops, institutes, oversee and enforce emergency policies.
  • Serve as liaison with gaming regulators, public law enforcement, fire and other agencies as it relates to security by maintaining a positive and constructive relationship.
  • Conducts, supervises, and prepares reports relating to investigations of any losses or violations of law, regulations, policies, or procedures.
  • Collaborates with surveillance manager on surveillance activities, including surveillance of electronic gaming devices, cage, and count room activities, public and back of house areas.
  • Provides escorts as needed.
  • Testifies in court when necessary.
  • Protects and preserves the assets of the company.
  • Compiles information, completes and submits reports to authorized management or Accounting as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to Executive Management / GM.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent; or five to seven year of casino Security, military, or police experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must have the ability to operate a manual and automatic transmission automobile.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                     

This job has supervisory responsibilities.

  • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to team members regarding performance.
  • Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business needs.
  • Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).

For every year of employment, Employee must:

  1. Obtain and maintain a license by the WV Racing Commission and/or WV Lottery as may be required for this position.
  2. Successfully complete and maintain certification in the Beverage Service Program (TIPS and TOPS) as may be required for this position.
  3. Obtain a First Aid/AED certification.
  4. Possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.

STARTING SALARY

Starting from $90,000 annually, based on experience.
