WE LOVE OUR WORK.

  • Responsible for supervising and managing staff in the Banquet/Catering and Food & Beverage Develops, implements and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Create effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department and provide recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.  Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.  Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.    
  • Assists clients with any problems or special requests to ensure the best personal service to meet guests' needs.
  • Ensure that banquet/catering equipment is in proper operational condition and is cleaned on a regular basis while you keep all banquet/catering facilities are cleaned, vacuumed and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume.
  • Record deposits, forward checks to Accounting and coordinate billing and credit approval for Banquet/Catering clients.
  • Responsible for promoting, planning, coordinating, and supervising the execution of all event functions ensuring a top-notch dining experience.
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding the monthly and annual revenue targets by generating brand-new and repeat business through referrals, telephone solicitation, direct mail, outside sales calls, networking and other community marketing techniques.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to Executive Management / GM.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • This position is responsible for providing a high level of customer service and promoting a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests and cast members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Associate degree (A.A.) from an accredited college or university; or a minimum of four years previous supervisory experience; or a combination of education and experience combined.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage desired, but not required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook programs.
  • Excellent motivational, communication and customer service skills required.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                     

This job has supervisory responsibilities.

 

  • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance.
  • Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.
  • Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).

STARTING SALARY

$60,000 annually, based on experience
