Job Description:

  • Supervise staff and management in the table games department, supporting and managing operational goals while monitoring performance and profit objectives.
  • Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with the manager on any scheduling concerns, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in the budget process by providing recommendations and supporting compliance with departmental budget initiatives; report budget concerns to the manager.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Shift Manager and/or Shift Manager to implement and oversee strategies for customer service, comping, games layout and mix, revenue growth, and expense management to maximize profitability.
  • Suggest improvements for standard operating procedures as needed.
  • Engage with team members by addressing and managing feedback, suggestions, complaints, and grievances alongside the Assistant Shift and/or Shift Manager.
  • Ensure accountability for chips, cards, dice, and all other gaming equipment.
  • Assist with verifications of table inventories and manage table limits effectively.
  • Maintain and process paperwork, logs, schedules, and communication related to the Table Games department.
  • Continuously inspect cards and dice to ensure the security of assigned table games.
  • Uphold the integrity of daily operations.
  • Promote and demonstrate superior customer service in line with department and company standards and programs; ensure all team members follow customer service standards and address issues as they arise.
  • Ensure efficient operations and table games protection.
  • Monitor chips and cash transactions between dealers and customers, ensuring proper payout amounts are paid according to established procedures.
  • Account for chips on assigned games, including making fills and credits as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements within the area of responsibility and report potential issues to management.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

Qualification Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and ability required.   • Education and Experience: Associate's Degree (A.A.) in a related field; one year of experience in Table Games or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word) and knowledgeable about Table Games operating systems.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Table Games Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of all Table Games and Table Games Operations.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job may or may not have supervisory responsibilities.

  • Staff Development: Responsible for staff development and training programs.
  • Employee Engagement: Responsible for rewards and recognition programs to maximize employee engagement.
  • Performance Evaluation: Evaluates team members within the department and provides constructive feedback regarding performance.
  • Staffing Recommendations: Provides recommendations for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business needs.
  • Workflow Management: Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Performance Management: Provides recommendations for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Must obtain First Aid/AED certification.
  • Must successfully complete ServSafe or TIPS training.
