Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for specific positions.)

1. Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.

2. Makes sure all glassware and flatware is free of smudges and stains.

3. Checks and stocks clean dishes, napkins, silverware, glassware and condiments in the dining area from time to time during shift to ensure availability of these items.

4. Keeps work area (floor, machine, shelving, carts, etc.) clean at all times.

5. Performs miscellaneous duties, such as rinsing dishes, working in store room, removing trash and preparing for banquets, special events, etc., as assigned.

Operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, noise and vibration; incumbent is subject to hazards such as wet floors; proper precautions are taken.

Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work area.

Ability to stand for majority of shift.

Must have basic understanding of English.

Must be able to reach, bend, squat, and carry loads of up to 50 pounds, as well as push/pull loads of up to 100 pounds so as to be able to restock all items as needed.

Must be able to sort all silverware as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

The skills necessary for this position are typically acquired through two months of on–the-job training or through related experience.

Stable work history required.
