Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. WE LOVE OUR WORK.

  • Respond to and mitigate calls for service on behalf of the Security Department.
  • Perform post and roving responsibilities (man secured entrances/exits, verify ID and proper credentials, conduct financial escorts, patrol the property, identify and correcting risk/safety issues, and provide customer service, etc.)
  • Complete incident reports (create formalized reports based on incidents impacting the business, gather and secure evidence, interview witnesses, obtain documentation, report findings to superiors and to other departments/agencies as required, etc.). 
  • Train Security Officers in department duties, functions, knowledge, policies, and procedures. 
  • Assist the Security Shift Manager and Security Assistant Shift Manager with scheduling, department paperwork, and administration duties.
  • Interacts with Security Officers on their assigned shifts to support service standards and expectations of the department.
  • Shall ensure the safety of customers, team members and others while on premises.
  • Reports to the Security management, any violations, acts or situations which are detrimental to the best interest of HCCTR.  
  • Assists in any internal or external investigations conducted by HCCTR or authorized local authorities
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.  Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.  
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Must have a High School diploma or GED.
  • 6 months leadership experience preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities. 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required. 

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations. 
  • Must obtain a First Aid/AED certification & CPR.  
  • Must successfully complete C.A.R.E or TIPS training. 
  • Must be able to obtain valid and current West Virginia Lottery License.
  • Must be able to obtain valid and current West Virginia Racing License
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
