Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. WE LOVE OUR WORK.

 

  • Promote the facility, services, programs, and events while interacting with Marketing, Table Games, Hotel, Slots, Public Relations, and casino guests 
  • Build customer database and player loyalty through recruitment and retention techniques including actively recruiting new members for the Penn Play program 
  • Player retention using direct mail and telemarketing, inactive player reactivation, hosting parties and participation in promotions, special events, gaming tournaments along with acting as a liaison between players and the Marketing and Player Development departments. 
  • Provide personalized services to guests, focused solely on players that meet the criteria of the Cactus Pete’s Casino Host program, as well as creating new business and bringing back inactive players to the property. 
  • Establish accurate accounts for players based on guidelines, issue cards and fully explain program to them. 
  • Strive to exceed the expectations of our high-end players. 
  • Circulate on the floor greeting guests who are playing in all gaming areas to identify new players and introduce themselves. 
  • Identify potential new members for development to high-end players. 
  • Evaluate player accounts and issue comps based on recorded play, earned number of points and comps available in player accounts. 
  • Be familiar with all current and upcoming special events, promotions and entertainment, as well as all casino activities. 
  • Function as guest service liaison, handle guest opportunities and resolve situations to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service. 
  • Plan, implement and analyze player events. 
  • Update accounts with information changes and obtain missing information on player accounts and issue replacement cards. 
  • Assist with dinner and hotel reservations of Cactus Pete’s Sister Property players. 
  • Answer questions regarding Penn Play Programs, times and gaming sessions, transportation services, parking facilities and all events and promotions. 
  • Be a role model for all service-related positions within all departments. 
  • Resolve any problem or perceived inconvenience to ensure guest satisfaction. 
  • Assist guests in obtaining service for machine repairs, change and payoffs or understanding machine operations. 
  • Support Casino Services department locations during busy times. 
  • Assist Marketing in ticket/invitation distribution when needed for events. 
  • Adhere to established Guest Service standards for the department. 
  • Emcee player events (parties, tournaments, etc.) 
  • Provide ongoing support for all operational departments during scheduled shift. 
  • Provide assistance to the Director of Marketing as needed. 

BRING US YOUR BEST.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in business, marketing, sales or related field from four-year college or university; five or more years’ experience as a Casino Host; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Consumer Sales and/or Casino Marketing experience strongly preferred. 
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook). 
  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. 
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. 
  • Demonstrated intermediate level of competence in the areas of ambition, customer service, engagement, leadership, business reasoning and emotional intelligence. 
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
