ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary at Hollywood Casino Tunica or 1st Jackpot Tunica:

 

The Food and Beverage Lead Attendant is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer at Hollywood & 1st JP Food and Beverage Outlets. 

 

  • Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
  • Inspects all areas of responsibility for safety and maintenance needs and acts as needed.
  • Supports Food & Beverage leadership with department training
  • Communicates closely with Food & Beverage Assistant Shift Manager / Manager on all operating issues.
  • Keeps all kitchen areas clean, sanitized and organized. Uses proper labeling and rotation of all ingredients to prevent food waste.
  • Opens and closes outlets in accordance with established procedure to ensure sanitation and to protect company assets.
  • Monitors supply needs for operation and cleaning and maintains par levels.
  • Maintains and ensures safety, sanitation, and presentable cleanliness for station, work area, and equipment used for preparation.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • This position operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, as well as all levels of employees.
  • Must be able to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make change.
  • Must be able to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Ability to move around food service area effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to carry food orders, stock supplies and bus tables.
  • Ability to maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to department and company standards.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment.  
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

 

LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES  

  Ability to check all side work completed by beverage servers/bartenders/cashiers, ability to complete banking procedures, ability to give clear and concise direction to other team members, ability to handle conflict resolution between guests/team member, ability to run necessary reports.

                                               

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must successfully complete Alcohol Awareness training.
