Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Barstool Sports Bar Team Members are influencers of Greektown Casino-Hotel and the Barstool brand through offering an entertainment experience for “Stoolies” and guests alike. 

The Barstool entertainment experience combines great food and beverage in an atmosphere infused with sports, sports wagering and on-line social media.  The goal of the Barstool Sports team is to ensure the environment is fun and appeals to our guests.

• Deliver outstanding internal and external guest service. Provide especially timely & knowledgeable food and beverage service and always find solutions to guests’ problems. Use the guest’s name when appropriate. Thank the guest and invite him or her back.
• Welcomes and host “stoolies” and guests alike, including engaging guests in the Barstool Sportsbook entertainment experience which includes promoting Casino events and programs.
• Converts guests to “stoolies” through ensuring a fun, professional atmosphere while promoting brand recognition and on-line engagement.
• Preparing and pouring drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicating with servers, and presenting drinks to guests or servers as required.  Preparing garnishment which includes the use of a knife
• Operating and maintaining all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures
• Operating a cash register/POS System, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change; accounting for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedures; maintaining integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities.
• Assists with overall room functions by performing duties that include cleaning and resetting bar space, menus, folding napkins and handing out customer comment cards as required,
• Performs all duties in a polite, professional and responsible manner, including but not limited to immediately alerting management of guests who are intoxicated, unruly or disruptive, as well as strictly enforcing the minimum age policy.
• Maintaining a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines

• Must be 21 years of age

• Understand and describe college and professional sports and sporting trends; predominant athletes, common sporting language and teams required.

• Understand and describe the “Barstool Brand” (social media, apps, podcasts, etc) required. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and all levels of employees.
• This position requires working in a fast-paced environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, noise and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
• This position requires work in an environment where guests have diverse interests grounded in the Barstool Sportsbook experience. 
• Ability to move effectively and efficiently throughout all work areas

• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
• Ability to describe and upsell/suggestive sell specials, menu items, document and comprehend drink and food orders and communicate effectively to the kitchen and servers.ar.
• Ability to engage guests in college and professional sports, sports wagering and the “Barstool Brand” (social media, apps, podcasts, etc.) This includes but is not limited too
• How do teams rank, what teams are prevalent in which sports, game schedules, player trades and upcoming drafts, sports trivia, sporting trends, hype and culture.
• Understand and be able to assist and direct guests to Barstool terminology, on-air talent, social media, apps and podcasts that are linked to the brand and overall experience.

• The engagement of customers will always be professional and fun, inspiring friendly competition between customers and their favorite team.  At times Team Members may be part of a promotional video or podcast.

• Ability to work in a harmonious and cooperative fashion with “stoolies”, guests, staff, vendors and other organizations, including Barstool brand representatives and on-line influencers. This includes but is not limited too
• Encouraging customers to check their enthusiasm for their sports teams.
• Escalating concerns about customer behavior to their supervisor.
• Knowledge of cocktail ingredients, proper mixing and pouring techniques; beer styles, taste profiles and brewery’s required.
• Ability to handle all checks and cash according to standard operating procedures.
• Ability to understand and retain knowledge in menu items, ingredients, pricing, service standards, sports and sports betting language and protocols.
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
