  • Assists in hiring and training, and responsible for motivating, evaluating, and supervising staff on assigned shift to ensure employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.
  • Understands department objectives, standards, guidelines, and budget to achieve effective supervision of department
  • Establishes and maintains training and development procedures to ensure superior customer service standards are achieved
  • Ensures that all company and departmental procedures are followed; assists various local, state, and federal authorities in various activities and investigations to ensure that procedures and laws are observed
  • Participates in any court actions relating to gaming violations in order to represent facts as obtained by department
  • Maintains daily log and reports to ensure that adequate and accurate information on surveillance activities are kept for future access
  • Maintains current information on suspicious individuals to ensure the protection of company assets, patrons, and employees; develops and maintains communications with law enforcement agencies and surveillance personnel from other casinos
  • Reports all observed violations of gaming regulations and procedures to appropriate authority, in order to adhere to company reporting requirements and the State Gaming Commission
  • Ensures that proper procedures for Games, Slots, Cashiers, drops, etc. are implemented and maintained
  • May conduct investigations as required
  • Performs all other related & compatible duties as assigned

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
  • One year in role of Surveillance Agent/Observer, Prior surveillance, security, or law enforcement is beneficial.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
  • This position may be called to work on the casino floor and may be subject to varying levels of noise, smoke, and crowds, the severity of which depends on customer volume
  • Must be able to work in a darkened, temperature-controlled environment of approximately 70 degrees constant.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, outside contacts and all levels of employees.
  • Performs in the capacity of Shift Supervisor, in the absence of the shift supervisor due to supervisor days off, vacation or open supervisor posting. Must perform all duties of salaried supervisor.
  • When not performing supervisory duties, Performs the duties of a Surveillance Agent.
  • Ability to look over players and observe cheating techniques
  • Ability to identify cheating techniques and operate computer and surveillance equipment
  • Ability to count cards preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of county and state ordinances
  • Knowledge and understanding of electronic, video, and alarm functions
  • Knowledge of state laws pertaining to citizens’ powers of arrest procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of games and statistical and daily games reports
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to read and write concise, factual reports
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
