Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. WE LOVE OUR WORK.

 

  • Ensure the timely completion of the monthly close, including addressing any issues that may
  • Review the majority of recurring journal entries as well as supporting work papers prepared by staff accountants for all corporate entities.
  • Verify that all journal entries have been posted and perform a final review of each corporate entity’s trial balance for accuracy and completeness before each corporate entity is finalized.
  • Ensure documentation, including appropriate sign-offs, is completed for all key controls, and coordinate all requests with internal and external auditors.
  • Assist Shared Services leadership with special projects,
  • Provide training to new and existing staff 
  • Coordinate month-end and year end accounting closing
  • Review and approve all pay apps, invoices, purchase orders,
  • Review reports which summarize and forecast all activity and financial position in areas of unbudgeted expenses and changes in the original plans. Responsible for the accuracy of these reports.
  • Provide management with timely reviews of all project work and its status and progress in its various
  • Work with the Shared Services leadership to determine any and all operational adjustments due to tax code requirements such as sales & use taxes.
  • Arrange for audits of property and corporate
  • Review A/P invoices to verify proper general ledger coding

 

This job has supervisory responsibilities.

 

  • Responsible for staff development and training
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee
  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regard to
  • Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business needs.
  • Determines work procedures and expedites
  • Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Finance or Economics from a four-year college or university; 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledgeable in GAAP and able to research accounting pronouncements to ensure
  • Willing to travel to property locations upon
  • Able to work under tight deadlines, maintain multiple
  • Ability to work overtime

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
