Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. WE LOVE OUR WORK.

  • Develops and executes strategic marketing direction to include marketing reinvestment, direct marketing, advertising, public relations/community relations, and entertainment for the properties which generates trial and builds long term relationships with customers and strengthens the brand value.
  • Develops and implements annual marketing plan for the property that supports the overall brand strategy for the company.
  • Drives improved program results in all areas of responsibility through staff development and training programs, and established methods, procedures and guidelines to maintain desired standards, and high quality service, then monitors results through inspection, evaluation and analysis. Makes changes if necessary to achieve end result.
  • Responsible for assessing, anticipating and reacting to the competitive marketplace in regard to marketing strategies, programs, campaigns, and promotions.
  • Lead departments through active participation.
  • Management accountability for all team members for day to day and long term operations to include hiring, training and developing employees which includes coaching, mentoring and appropriate performance management up to and including separation.
  • Ensures appropriate IT resources are available to run programs .
  • Familiarization with all company brand programs and systems and provides input to improve brand direct marketing efforts.
  • Responsible for the overall integrity of daily operations, offers and customer database information, maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Presents oneself as a credit to the company and encourages others to do the same.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications Excel, Access, Word, Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability working with database software.
  • Ability to understand and analyze Budget & P&L Statements, competitive information and develop plans with measurable results.

  • Well-developed guest and employee relations skills.
  • Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when required.

  • Compliance with all regulatory, governmental, and safety requirements.
  • Development of team to include completion of all required training and knowledge of all policies and procedures relating to their positions.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has supervisory responsibilities.                                     

  • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regard to performance.
  • Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business needs.
  • Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Responsible for employee performance disciplining, coaching, counseling.

 

Education and/or Experience: Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university; MBA required; Five years progressively more challenging experience in a senior marketing role with direct responsibility for revenue generation; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

 

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of America money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
