Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. WE LOVE OUR WORK.

- Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.

- Processes and sells racing programs; assists guests with questions; provides assistance with navigating property.

- Handles and secures all money banks to ensure the proper balancing and transaction verification through the ticket system; prepares and verifies all closing paperwork; corrects financial deficiencies as needed.

- Notifies higher level management of any suspicious or unusual activity and/or transactions in a timely manner; maintains the confidentiality of box purchases to ensure guest privacy.

- Attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and innovations in the fields of customer service and sales.

- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

- Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.

- Minimum six (6) months of cash handling and racing experience required.

- Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

- Must be competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

- Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.

- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.

- Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and fluctuating days off as needed.
