Responsibilities include:
Slot Service Specialist Responsibilities - $11.79 per hour, plus tips
- Provides cash handling service to casino patrons.
- Responsible for assigned casino funds and proper handling of funds exchanges.
- Responds to service lights on slot machines, service calls from Dispatch and helps all guests needing change or other assistance.
- Responsible for working dispatch as needed and following all dispatch procedures.
- Notifies appropriate Ameristar staff members to render assistance outside the scope of your responsibilities.
- Ensures that the slot machines are operating properly, and all procedures are executed according to company policy.
- Performs minor slot machine repairs not requiring a Slot Technician.
- Assists casino patrons with general questions concerning the Casino.
- Complies with all Company and departmental policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Provides representation of department in specific project and company meetings.
- Maintains property cleanliness by picking up any trash or glassware.
- Must be able to stand for a minimum eight (8) hour shift.
- Must be able to work for extended periods of time in an environment that is typically crowded and noisy.
- Must be able to work in and provide Guest Service in an environment where alcohol consumption is prevalent.
- This is a uniformed position, which requires that Team Member’s are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on property.
Dual Rate/Supervisor Responsibilities - $28.00 per hour
- Responsible for fulfilling the service needs of slot players while ensuring an exceptional experience for all guests; works at a fast-pace and require operational savvy along with unwavering enthusiasm and resilience.
- Provides guest service and support by maintaining high visibility on the floor
- Respond to guest needs, including slot machine inquiries, slot payouts, making change, processing jackpots, promotional participation, and general slot machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Demonstrates exemplary communication skills to effectively communicate with guests and fellow Team Members; proficiently communicates in person, via radio, phone and in writing
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the position· Settles minor disputes and guest concerns in a professional and timely manner, escalates to immediate supervisor when necessary.
- Informs immediate Manager and Surveillance team of unnatural or irregular play.
- Ensure compliance with Title 31 requirements and processes.
- Responsible for the overall integrity of daily operations on assigned shift.
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with departmental and company standards and programs.
- Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
- Promote a positive environment for all guests and team members to promote the return visit of guests and achieve job satisfaction for all team members.
- Ensures team members have the tools needed to do their jobs to maximize efficiency.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
- Provide visible leadership in gaming operation areas.
- Ability to observe and identify suspect players, as well as to observe and direct actions of reporting team members.
- Must be proficient in computer knowledge to include keyboarding skills, all Microsoft Office applications, email usage, and database, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Knowledge of all office machines and tools.
- Must have the ability to interact with guests, team members, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
- Accountable for the adherence and/or enforcement of all written controls and procedures within the casino
- Able to perform/assist in the duties of the Operations Manager in his/her absence.
- Prepares Team Member daily break/work schedule as well as for the assigned shift.
- Ability to tactfully address team members in the moment in accordance with casino policy/expectations regarding exceptional attitude, teamwork, and guest service as well as opportunities for improvement regarding below standard performance, escalates to immediate supervisor when necessary.
- Acts as a liaison between the Slot Team, Slot Tech Team, and all other associated departments such as Security and Casino Services.
