Position Summary

Responsible for supervising a designated Food & Beverage outlet and managing the overall daily operations during assigned shifts. This role supports operational goals, monitors performance, and ensures profitability and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the assigned F&B outlet.
  • Ensure efficient, sanitary, and pleasant service for all guests.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining food service procedures.
  • Inspect menu items to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor inventory and maintain consistent pars to support cost control.

Staffing & Scheduling

  • Create effective and efficient staff schedules.
  • Maintain labor costs while meeting staffing needs and guest service standards.

Customer Service

  • Promote and demonstrate superior customer service in line with company standards.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to customer service expectations.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Drive the achievement of departmental customer service goals.

Financial & Budgetary Support

  • Assist in the departmental budget process and provide recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with budget initiatives and report concerns to management.

Compliance & Regulations

  • Enforce all applicable gaming laws and F&B regulations.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance within the area of responsibility.
  • Report potential compliance issues to management.

Administrative Support

  • Assist the F&B Outlet Manager with administrative duties as assigned.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Education & Experience:
    • Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Food & Beverage or a combination of education and experience.
    • At least two (2) years of supervisory experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests, staff, and colleagues.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and problem-solving with diplomacy and tact.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate in English, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Flexible availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • May include direct supervision of staff.
  • Responsible for:
    • Staff development and training programs.
    • Employee engagement through rewards and recognition.
    • Performance evaluations and constructive feedback.
    • Staffing recommendations, including interviewing and hiring.
    • Scheduling and workflow management.
    • Disciplinary actions, coaching, and counseling.

Certifications & Licenses

  • Must qualify for all licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Required certifications:
    • First Aid/AED
    • C.A.R.E. or TIPS alcohol service training
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by company insurance standards.

Reasoning & Analytical Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Capable of resolving problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, use hands, and communicate verbally.
  • Frequently required to reach, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, kneel, and balance.
  • Must be able to:
    • Lift/move up to 10 lbs regularly, 25 lbs frequently, and 50 lbs occasionally.
    • Work in confined spaces and perform physical tasks as needed.

Work Environment

  • Moderate noise level typical of a hospitality environment.
  • May be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke.
