Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. • Provides superior guest service both internal and external, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers. 

• Be prepared with the knowledge and skill required to be responsive to guests and team member’s needs and questions. 

• Responsible for learning and being familiar with all of Cactus Petes, Room outlets, Server functions, and for being able to answer general questions regarding the property. 

• Anticipate the guest’s needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency. 

• Places fruits, glassware, paper supplies, and liquor in their designated places following established storage guidelines and safety procedures. 

• Slices fruit, fills ice bins, removes and properly disposes of all trash in accordance with department procedures. 

• Reports any maintenance problems to Assistant Beverage Manager or Beverage Manager. 

• Maintains bar cleanliness in accordance with Health Department standards. 

• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons. 

• Learn and follow all beverage recipes and adhere to the established pour policy.  

• Operate within full compliance of liquor laws and regulations.  

• Learn prices of all drinks.  

• Collect payment and promptly settle all cash and charge transactions.  

• Requisition liquor and other supplies, when needed with supervisor's approval.  

• Keep bar area clean and organized at all times and prepared for on-coming shift. 
  Inform supervisor of guests who appear to be intoxicated.  

• Ask for identification of all patrons who appear to be under age 35.  

• Responsible for knowing the types, glasses and brand names of the products we offer.  Should be familiar with a substitute item to offer a guest in the event an item is ordered that we don’t carry. 

• Must have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all drink recipes and the preparation and garnishment of all drinks. 

• Responsible for understanding the operation of all soda, juice and liquor guns. 

• Responsible for the handling of Company funds through cash transactions. 

• Follow all cash handling procedures. 

• Handle the chemicals for the glass washing machine in a safe manner. 

• Responsible for the cleanliness of your work station/bar. 

• Keep bar completely stocked for next shift. 

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. 

• One (1) year experience as a bartender in a fast paced environment preferred. 

• Must have excellent guest service skills. 

• Able to work varied shifts and hours. 

• Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
