Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. · Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards
· Responsible for providing support to the Revenue Audit department in reporting accurate financial information, financial analysis, special projects/Audits, and daily Audits
· Participates in daily and monthly reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements; assists in developing and monitoring controls and procedures to ensure such compliance
· Helps to ensure timely, accurate, and complete processing of daily Audits and entries, as well as participates in month-end tasks, entries, and reconciliations
· Participates in racing as the horseman’s bookkeeper
· Performs special projects/Audits to provide high level of expertise on matters of complex or sensitive nature (e.g., slot configuration changes, count variances)
· Reconciles and balances all automation worksheets
· Assists internal, external, and/or regulatory Auditors in the preparation of their examinations
· Fills in when needed to perform all tasks within the Finance department, including but not limited to each Audit, daily banking requirements, performing wire transfers, assisting with inventory counts, and preparing W-2G and 1099 information
· Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned
· Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters
· Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
· Must be 21 years of age
· Must enjoy assisting others
· Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests
· Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university
· Knowledge of accounting principles
· Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel and Word)
· Ability to perform basic mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and apply to practical situations using fractions, percentages, measurements, proportions, and problem solving
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop,
