The Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting is responsible for assisting in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in both internal and external formatted financial reporting deliverables, inclusive of earnings releases, Form 10-Qs, 10-Ks and other filing documents. Additionally, this position assists in preparing various financial statement schedules necessary in the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation process. This position reports to the Manager of Financial Reporting

  • Assists with the preparation of the consolidation of financial statements in accordance with US. GAAP including analytics and other supporting documentation for both internal and external reporting
  • Assists in the preparation of Form 10-Qs and Form 10-Ks in accordance with SEC regulations
  • Assists with the review of in-line XBRL data contained within SEC filings
  • Identifies and resolves accounting issues that impact the consolidated financial statements
  • Assists in the devolvement of and streamlining of the financial reporting processes and procedures
  • Assists with external auditors on specific requests pertaining to the consolidated audit, quarterly reviews, statutory/regulatory audits, and consolidating reports
  • Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with other groups within the organization including, accounting, tax, investor relations, and legal.

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting or Finance from accredited four-year college or university
  • 2+ years of financial reporting work experience or Big 4 public accounting experience, preferably serving publicly traded companies
  • Experience drafting SEC financial filings with in-line XBRL preferred
  • Knowledge of automated financial systems and proficiency with Excel and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment on multiple assignments with tight deadlines, particularly at quarter ends
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
