Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Interior and exterior painting as required.
Monitor all utilities – i.e. water, gas, sewer.
Perform repairs requiring construction and maintenance skills.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Assist in the cleaning of all public and back of house areas
Clean up after self when finished with job.
Perform ongoing checks on facility and grounds reacting to changes and needs.
Keep shop, tool crib, and work area clean and organized.
Assure all equipment is returned in good condition.
Use chemicals in a proper and safe manner.
Use personal protective equipment when job, area, or procedure require.
Maintain a favorable working environment.
Accompany vendors while on property.
Maintain cosmetic and mechanical maintenance of property.
Assist other Engineers with repairs, assignments, and projects.
Support and maintain Hollywood Resort and Casino’s courtesy guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent
One (1) year experience in maintenance and/or constructions.
Working knowledge of computers, preferred
Must be 21 years of age or older
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, the general public, or employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
OTHER SKILLS and ABLILITIES:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management, staff, co-workers, and guests. Excellent organization and communication skills. Good spelling and grammar skills.

Must be able to drive a van, truck, or car.
This position sometimes requires the employee to climb stairs, ladders, and to able to work comfortably at heights up to fifty (50) feet.
The employee must be able to carry up to one hundred (100) pound loads.
This position requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
While performing this job, the employee is required to talk and hear. Vision requirements for this job include close and distance vision.
