ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
· Responsible for maintaining knowledge of and enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations that apply to the functions and duties of the Security Department.
· Maintains a security booth and completes records using shift activity log according to established guidelines.
· Safeguards the assets of property, its guests, team members, and provides a safe environment for guests and team members.
· Performs chip and credit transactions, money and marker transfers, and verifies amounts by signature, in accordance with established guidelines and Mississippi Gaming Commission regulations.
· Responds to all emergencies according to established guidelines. Radios for backup and notifies a member of the Security leadership team immediately.
· Communicates with Security, Casino Operations, Player Services, Surveillance, and all other departments as needed according to established guidelines.
· Responsible for checking identification of guests according to established responsible gaming guidelines and Mississippi Gaming Commission regulations. Escalates potential issues and/or concerns to a member of the Security leadership team.
· Responsible for greeting guests with a positive, upbeat attitude upon them entering and exiting the property.
· Responsible for performing walking and/or driving escorts as assigned.
· Responsible for roaming parking lot as assigned.
· Responds to guest needs according to guest service, policy, and procedure expectations. Escalates potential issues and/or concerns to a member of the Security leadership team as needed.
· Reports all illnesses and injuries to appropriate Security Team Member. Contacts appropriate Security Team Member to provide appropriate information for report and perform minor first aid as needed.
· Responsible for maintaining crowd control in a calm and positive manner. Escalates potential issues and/or concerns immediately to a member of the Security leadership team as needed. In the event of witnessing or responding to a fight or verbal confrontation, uses the minimal amount of force or restraint necessary to control the situation.
· Responsible for remaining alert always while on duty. Escalates potential issues and/or safety concerns immediately to a member of the Security leadership team as needed.
· Informs guests of all property events, safety hazards, and answers guest questions regarding property information.
· Surveys and watches crowd always and stops inappropriate behavior immediately.
· Follows all guest cut off procedures according to established guidelines.
· Ensures work area is always clean and free of safety hazards. Escalates potential issues and/or safety concerns immediately to a member of the Security leadership team as needed.
· Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
· Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
· Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
· Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

· General Education Degree (GED) or High School Diploma; one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Must be mentally and physically capable to handle an emergency and/or high stress situations.
· Must be able to handle large volume of guests and work well under pressure.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Ability to communicate verbally using a two-way radio. Must be able to properly operate a two-way radio.
· Must be able to work high volume days, nights, holidays, and weekends, as needed.
· Must have the ability to interact with guests and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have good written and oral communication and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
Must successfully complete applicable responsible alcohol service training.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn Entertainment’s auto insurance carrier.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly exposed to flashing lights and possibly moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme heat or cold and risk of electrical shock. Employee is exposed to an environment containing unrestricted second hand tobacco smoke.
