Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Job Summary:

Provide direct and general supervision to restaurant staff to ensure the effective and efficient operation of assigned restaurant functions. Deliver exceptional internal and external guest service in alignment with the Cactus Petes service standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service Excellence

  • Deliver guest service with a friendly, approachable, and courteous demeanor.
  • Actively seek opportunities to assist guests and team members.
  • Respond sincerely and knowledgeably to guest and team member inquiries and needs.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Staff, schedule, evaluate, train, and develop restaurant team members.
  • Monitor and coach team performance to ensure service standards are met or exceeded.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels based on business volume.

Operational Oversight

  • Understand and implement departmental objectives, standards, guidelines, and budgets.
  • Adjust daily operations and schedules according to business needs.
  • Ensure proper communication and coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

Quality & Compliance

  • Conduct periodic quality checks on food, service, and cleanliness (e.g., greeting times, station setup).
  • Ensure compliance with health department regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.

Financial & Strategic Management

  • Increase restaurant revenue through menu optimization, portion control, presentation, and waste reduction.
  • Assist in developing and implementing departmental plans, including budgets, labor schedules, and accountability systems.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.

Facility & Equipment Management

  • Ensure all stations are properly stocked and set up.
  • Oversee maintenance of equipment and working conditions to ensure operational integrity.

Other Duties

  • Promote courteous treatment of guests and team members, including resolving complaints and answering questions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in a fast-paced food service or similar environment preferred.
    • Skills:
      • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
      • Strong leadership and team development abilities.
      • Ability to plan, assign, and direct work to meet business needs.
      • Proficient in evaluating performance and providing feedback.
      • Enthusiastic about delivering superior customer service.
