ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Responsible for supervising and managing staff in the following areas of the Marketing Department: Promotions and Special Events. Develops, implements and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives in defined area. 
  • Create effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department and provide recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to Director.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise. Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.    
  • Builds long term relationships with customers to strengthen the brand value.
  • Provide assistance to the Director of Marketing with weekly/monthly reports and budget forecasts.
  • Establish weekly call pattern that will generate new accounts and service existing accounts for new and return business.
  • Cooperate and work with Casino Marketing staff, in sharing leads and/or any other activity that will generate new business.
  • Cooperate with other departments to communicate to and service patrons promptly.
  • Work closely with the Hotel, Reservations, Food & Beverage, and Entertainment to accommodate guest event and planning needs.
  • Prepare and submit timely call reports to executive management.
  • Achieve budget goals established with Director of Marketing.
  • Represent the company during marketing, special, and community events and for marketing, special, and community-orientated activities in both local and external markets.
  • Oversee the material distribution in the market to increase awareness of product and services.
  • Ensures coordination with IT to guarantee all resources are available to run programs.
  • Prepare and distribute daily and weekly reports for various departments affected by all group business.
  • Be available for nights and weekends and attend meetings as needed.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings and planning meetings accordingly.
  • Provide positive communication and use Customer Service Training skills with every patron and co-worker.
  • Perform duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff.
  • Perform any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position’s job description, where, in the Company’s judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to Executive Management / GM.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS  

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance or related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of casino, sales and /or marketing experience
  • Experience managing a casino marketing function preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Technical proficiency and knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills; strong client interface and presentation skills preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to drive toward results

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                    

This job will have supervisory responsibilities.

  • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance.
  • Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.
  • Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

STARTING SALARY

Starting at $65,000 annually, depending on experience.
