Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. WE LOVE OUR WORK.

  • Direct and supervise the housekeeping team members, including room attendants, house attendants, and laundry attendants, to ensure a high standard of cleanliness in hotel guest rooms and hotel public spaces.
  • Inspect the cleaning of hotel guest rooms and hotel public spaces to ensure that the property's quality standards are met.
  • Tour facility checking all public areas, evaluating the performances of the housekeeping team members.
  • Inspects facilities and recommends repairs and upgrades when needed.
  • Assist with scheduling the workforce to ensure all areas and shifts are adequately covered.
  • Initiate and direct heavy cleaning so that the highest level of productivity is maintained and completion schedules are met.
  • Assist with cross-training team for all shift-related duties and responsibilities.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining a safety program for all housekeeping team members.
  • Assist with training all housekeeping team members in OSHA standards and regulations and documentation.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with housekeeping team members to discuss job functions, teamwork, team development, concerns, and questions.
  • Provide on-the-spot training refreshers, coaching, and feedback to ensure staff meet hotel standards. 
  • Administer all team relations policies and enforce all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Assist in addressing team-related guest complaints and ensure corrective action is taken.
  • Maintain inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and other necessary items, to assist with ordering supplies.
  • Create various reports as necessary and attend/hold regular meetings.
  • Assist in the training of new housekeeping team members.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  •  Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and complete work; initiative; well-developed inter-personal skills logically and independently.
  • Ability to set and achieve high standards of performance.
  • Ability to make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Ability to conduct analyses and generate reports to reflect findings; direct a work force, provide support to team members and delegate job duties.
  • Ability to express ideas or make recommendations concerning job related issues.
  • Ability to learn specific job duties and complete work assignments.
  • Maintain knowledge of basic concepts and techniques.
  • Ability to perform the manipulation of numbers and basic math calculations.

 

EDUCATION AMD EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience housekeeping environmental services area (supervisory experience preferred)
