Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.  SUMMARY
The Sorella by Giada Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, business performance, and guest experience at the Celebrity Restaurant. This individual ensures the highest standards of hospitality, food & beverage quality, and service excellence. The Restaurant GM will lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team while driving profitability and aligning operations with brand standards.

 

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring seamless front-of-house and back-of-house collaboration.
  • Maintain consistent execution of service standards that reflect the celebrity brand image and guest expectations.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and overall dining experience to guarantee a world-class standard.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Develop a strong management and hourly team.
  • Foster a culture of hospitality, accountability, and performance excellence.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing coaching to support professional growth.
  • Develop, manage, and achieve financial goals including revenue targets, cost controls, labor management, and profitability.
  • Analyze financial reports, sales trends, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Partner with marketing and events teams to maximize exposure, promotions, and special events.
  • Act as the face of the restaurant, engaging with guests to create memorable dining experiences.
  • Maintain strong relationships with VIP clientele, talent teams, and industry partners.
  • Ensure the restaurant embodies the celebrity’s vision and brand identity.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                     

This job has supervisory responsibilities:

  • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regard to performance.
  • Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.

  • Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume, upscale, or celebrity-driven restaurants.
  • Proven track record in managing large teams and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile environment with discretion and professionalism.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, and Power Point).
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

STARTING SALARY

$80,000 to $90,000 annually, based on experience.
