SUMMARY

Handle customer service needs on the casino floor in a friendly and efficient manner. Be knowledgeable about Argosy Casino services, features, promotions, and special events; respond accurately to customers inquires. Respond and handle jackpots and machine malfunctions in a timely manner while creating an element of fun and excitement for the customer. This is a non-supervisory position.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide stellar customer service in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Handle customer service needs and/or issues in order to satisfy request made by customer.
  • Maintain positive customer interactions.
  • Maintain clear and open communications with customers and managers/supervisors.
  • Be knowledgeable with players’ club and encourage guest participation.
  • Respond to machine tilts/ malfunctions and determine if maintenance is needed.
  • Perform minor maintenance/repairs on slot machines.
  • Fill ticket printers and stock ticket paper.
  • Respond to machines with jackpot and determine if jackpot is valid.
  • Perform dispatching duties.
  • Process and calculate jackpots, to include working with the ‘Fun Coordinator’ to celebrate jackpots.
  • Circulate throughout assigned area(s) keeping conversations with team members to a minimum while focusing on opportunities to interact with the guests.
  • Work to build relationships with existing customers and work to foster relationships with new guests.
  • Be knowledgeable of slot machine payouts and basic functions of slot machines.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of all game functions, to include all bonus features. Be able to explain all games to the guests.
  • Count and verify wallet bank.
  • Redeem coupons and break bills and/or run change for customers.
  • Participate and promote in marketing events.
  • Ability to use two-way radios and maintain professional radio etiquette at all times.
  • Meet department uniform, appearance and grooming requirements.
  • Meet attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas including pushing in chairs and trash pickup, as well as keeping work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Proactively serve non-alcoholic beverages to customers. Deliver appetizers to high denomination guests.
  • Perform any reasonable request made by your supervisor or any management personnel.
  • Notify your supervisor if you need assistance, require additional help, or observe suspicious activity.
  • Ensure supplies are stocked as needed.
  • Attend all departmental and company training programs or meetings as directed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all gaming laws and regulations.
  • Any job duty needed to promote productivity in the efficient administration of business or any reasonable request made by your supervisor or management personnel.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Six months to one year of related experience and/or training.  Experience in customer service oriented environment.

 

LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to prepare, read and comprehend documents specific the Slot Attendant position such as exchange sheets.   Ability to speak and communicate effectively with individuals and before groups of people.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.

 

LICENSING

Must be able to qualify for any and all licenses or permits required by local, state or federal law.
