Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. - Reports to management any violations of USCG regulations, Louisiana Gaming Commission regulations, or unsafe conditions as it pertains to riverboat gaming. - Participates in training with the deck crew on emergency procedures, safety, seamanship, and other programs. - Ensures that safety equipment is provided, and appropriate guidelines are followed for all tasks involving physical risk or hazardous materials. - Performs various tasks involved in the maintenance and upkeep of vessel and equipment. This includes heavy duty and detailed cleaning of the casino floor.  This may include but is not limited to cleaning carpet, polishing marble, cleaning in the bar area and high dusting.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Solid attendance and punctuality record.

Requires advanced ability to deal courteously with casino patrons, and supervisors.

Excellent general customer skills.

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma (or equivalent). Previous experience in marine, housekeeping or janitorial industry preferred. Painting Drywall, wallpaper and/or carpeting experience desired.
