As an Overnight Front Desk Clerk, you will:

Shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am | Pay: $17.00 per hour

  • Responsible for greeting and welcoming hotel/casino guest in an enthusiastic, friendly manner.
  • Assigns appropriate guest room accommodations during hotel checking.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the guest's needs and special requests are met.
  • Secures proper payment and deposits for hotel accommodations.
  • Verifies that departing guests have experienced superior hospitality.
  • Invokes service recovery when appropriate.
  • Reviews guest room accounts for accuracy.
  • Uses proper accounting procedures to correct discrepancies.
  • Books hotel reservations and handles cancellations.
  • Coordinates with casino personnel to secure accommodations and provide ViP service for Gaming.
  • Responsible for hotel rate yield management, balancing hotel inventory, and identifying potential walks.
  • Adheres to all established Credit and internal Audit procedures to minimize exposure to loss of revenues.
  • Handles telephone correspondence.
  • Expeditiously handles guest mail and fax transmissions.
  • Sells and redeems gift certificates.
  • Assists hotel/casino guests with information and directions.
  • Responsible for maintaining a $500 cash bank and Supervisor's $4,000 bank and adhering to cash variance policy.
  • Adheres to uniform standards.
  • Completes all night Audit processes.
  • Assists in ensuring Front Office staff behavior and appearance are in compliance with established policies and standards.
  • Supervises staff on shift.
  • Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a Credit to Hollywood.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • College degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience in Hospitality industry preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Must possess a sales strategy mentality to maximize occupancy and revenues.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment including 10-key adding machine, personal computers, fax machine, and photo copier.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts. Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands:
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout hotel and casino, including up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to lift and carry upwards of five pounds.
  • Able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
