The Product Manager – Data Analytics acts as a liaison working with IT product teams and business clients to collect, clarify, and analyze product performance and contextualize those results. This role also works collaboratively within the product team environment to identify issues/risks, propose solutions, and adjust to shifting priorities while maintaining project pace/schedule. **This position is remote**

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Works with product managers/owners to identify key performance indicators related to their products and routinely reports on those metrics.
  • Establishes product baselines to accurately determine post-change effect of feature upgrades or enhancements.
  • Understands the functionality of products and features to help identify tagging and data collection opportunities before feature go to market.
  • Expertly identifies the signal from the noise. Looking through all the data associated with a product to determine the real impact on the business.
  • Creates and distributes dashboards and visualizations for products and product features.
  • Develops compelling stories and presentations from product data.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. 
  • Guides business customers through business case development for new applications/functionality, including cost / benefit analysis and risk / impact analysis.
  • Quantifies business benefits to be delivered by the project or enhancement and makes suggestions for improvement.
  • Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a good understanding of business systems, industry requirements, and available IT solutions.
  • Supports, tests, and enhances moderately complex information systems and develop adequate error management functionality within assigned applications.
  • Responsible for QA and acceptance testing of projects.
  • Provides new user training on supported applications as requested.
  • Works closely with all IT organizations and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Supports activities for assigned applications and assure secondary resources are defined and are well trained to support the application.
  • Proactively maintains an understanding of business processes.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Information Technology, or related field from four-year college university; or 5-7 years’ experience product analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with SQL and Tableau.
  • Must have proven ability leading numerous projects simultaneously, establishing effective priorities among competing requirements, and meeting deadlines while demonstrating a successful hands-on approach to overseeing all assigned projects. 
  • Must have experience engaging business partners to align IT roadmaps with business strategies.
  • Must have strong technical, analytical, and problem resolution skills.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented with excellent multi-tasking ability.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook). Experience Salesforce Marketing Service Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Audience Builder, and/or MGT kiosks is preferred.
  • Must have strong understanding of the software development life cycle. Experience in systems design and implementation preferred.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines with strong time and project management skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to work independently, identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

 LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
