SUMMARY: The Lifecycle Manager oversees and provides actionable insights into PENN’s customer journeys across all revenue channels, including retail casinos and online digital apps like online sportsbooks and real money gaming. Responsibilities include developing and executing marketing strategies to boost customer engagement, satisfaction, and revenue. Collaborating with channel leads, the manager focuses on revenue and loyalty-enhancing communication and marketing strategies. This role guides audience selection, reinvestment decisions, and communication frequency and content, with an emphasis on providing insights, quantitative data, and best practices for driving customer engagement within the PENN Entertainment ecosystem. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in marketing analytics, consumer behavior, digital ecosystems, and is comfortable working in a remote environment.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Collaborate across the enterprise to develop marketing programs that align with data-driven marketing objectives.
  • Define customer journeys and activation strategies for PENN Entertainment.
  • Utilize data analytics to derive insights from customer data, producing scores, segmentation, metrics, and models for marketers to use in audience selection and offer segmentations.
  • Develop personalization strategies and collaborate with marketers and product teams for execution.
  • Establish efficient workflows for conducting A/B testing on new initiatives and reporting findings.
  • Assist in achieving operational goals and monitoring performance and profit objectives.
  • Contribute to developing, implementing, and executing strategies for direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns.
  • Focus on activation and retention across all channels to drive accretive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate in developing, tracking, and implementing programs with partners across the enterprise to drive overall marketing efforts.
  • Support in developing presentations for management and key marketing stakeholders.
  • Analyze customer data engagement to glean insights and guide future decisions.
  • Meet deadlines for various assigned projects and maintain communication with leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Lifecycle Marketing.
  • Create clear, concise, and complete functional specifications and requirements documents.
  • Demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations within the area of responsibility and report potential issues to management.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS  

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Bachelor’s degree in economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, or related quantitative field from a four-year college or university; or five or more years of experience in marketing analytics; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Must have advanced knowledge and passion for working with relational databases, analyzing, and interpreting data, strong knowledge of statistical modeling, and strong aptitude for data storytelling.
  • Must know how to clean and prepare data for analysis. This includes removing errors, identifying outliers, and transforming data into a format that can be analyzed.
  • Must be able to analyze data and explore it for insights. This includes using statistical methods to test hypotheses, identify trends, and make predictions.
  • Prior experience in marketing analysis with a gaming, hospitality or similar organization preferred.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • Prior experience with database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL required.
  • Ability to utilize tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI to represent & visualize insights required.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of languages such as Python or R a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in prioritization of items in the work queue as necessary when communicated/directed.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and be detail oriented.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines, including projects that require completion within a quick time period.
