SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for preparation of food and beverage products for guests and team members.  This is a non-supervisory position.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provide stellar customer service to internal and external customers and vendors including participation in and promotion of customer service programs to continuously improve customer service.
  • Must be able and willing to cook and prepare food products including cutting, trimming, chopping, slicing, carving, mixing, cooking, sautéing, grilling, frying, broiling, baking, and steaming and application of other preparation techniques as required for preparation of food and beverage products for Gram & Dun venue.
  • Follow appropriate food handling procedures to ensure safe, quality products.
  • Maintain freshness of food and beverage items by rotating items as needed and maintaining items at appropriate temperatures.
  • Ensure supplies and products are stocked as needed including ensuring that supplies are stocked for the next shift.
  • Follow company procedures for preparing recipes and products.
  • Prepare, display or serve food and beverage products according to the chef’s standards including retrieving, arranging, garnishing, setting up, displaying, carving and serving.
  • Prepare your station for service according to the business levels.
  • Must practice safe and efficient use of all kitchen equipment.
  • Perform tasks to ensure an attractive and safe physical appearance of working areas including cleaning and sanitizing all areas and removal of pots, pans, utensils, dishes, debris and litter and cleaning floors. Cleaning as you go is a must.
  • Assist in operation of other food and beverage venues as needed.
  • Attend all departmental and company training programs or meetings as directed.
  • Compile information, complete and submit reports as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all gaming laws and regulations.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner including keeping areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.
  • Meet department uniform, appearance and grooming requirements.
  • Any job duty needed to promote productivity in the efficient administration of business or any reasonable request made by your supervisor or management personnel.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to pass a culinary knowledge test.

 

LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Ability to prepare, read and comprehend documents. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate effectively with individuals and before groups of people.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs including but not limited to counting money.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

LICENSING:

Must be able to qualify for any and all licenses or permits required by local, state or federal law.
