This position is responsible for the overall compliance department operations andduties detailed herein at both Penn Entertainment properties located in Indiana; Ameristar Casino, East Chicago and Hollywood, Lawrenceburg.
Monitors and facilitates all compliance operations with the reporting requirements under the Gaming Compliance Program and other corporate internal policies and procedures relating to the investigation of business relationships, including reporting of Material Transactions, Material Financings, Executives and Key Employees, Lobbyists and Consultants, Professional Advisors, Suppliers, Purveyors and Other Providers of Goods and Services in excess of established
dollar amounts.
Responsible for all Title 31 training, testing, and daily audits to ensure compliance with Federally mandated reporting requirements Facilitate timely submissions of CTR’s and SAR’s as required by the Title.
Acts as liaison to Corporate Internal Audit, assisting with document requests, coordinating exit conferences, as well as compiling and reviewing management responses for adequacy and completeness prior to submission to IA.
Reviews Internal Audit reports and other audit reports of accounting firms and regulatory agencies and make appropriate recommendations to corporate management for improved compliance.
Conducts monthly reviews of property management responses to Internal Audit Reports so as to prevent repeat findings or continued non-compliance.
Conducts routine audits ensuring compliance with regulatory programs such as, but not limited to: vendor investigation requirements, team member investigation requirements, self-exclusion administrative maintenance, and team member licensing requirements
Acts as the filter for all property issued subpoenas and/or requests for employee/player records ensuring all legal ramifications are addressed accordingly; Consults frequently with Corporate Legal to ensure appropriate handling and response.
Coordinates efforts with regard to the maintenance and oversight of the problem gambling programs including maintaining/monitoring statewide bans, minor gambling and all other responsible gambling issues as required by regulation and recommended by the American Gaming Associations Code of Conduct.
Facilitates participation in Responsible Gaming Education Week and National Problem Gambling Awareness Week.
Maintains a dialog and positive working relationship with the staff of Indiana Gaming Commission and other regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over the operations.
Responds to inquiries and complaints received from regulatory agencies related to operations, in conjunction with property management personnel, corporate compliance and corporate or regional legal counsel as necessary and appropriate.
Prepares and submits written correspondence with regulatory authorities on routine compliance issues; including but not limited to, obtaining gaming related approvals, providing regulatory required written notifications, and ensuring monthly submission of qualifying agreements so as to ensure appropriate vendor approvals are obtained.
Ensures that effective internal controls are established and maintained in compliance with all applicable federal and state statutes and regulations.
Works with property management to develop departmental procedures that are adequate to satisfy requirements of the internal controls.
Performs ongoing review of compliance policies and procedures for recommendations and improvements
Performs other duties as directed by the VP Chief Compliance Officer or other delegates.
Represents the compliance group for special projects and/or task forces as assigned by the VP Chief Compliance Officer.
Assists with compliance related issues or projects at sister properties as directed by the VP Chief Compliance Officer.
Provides oversight, direction, and coordination of the Compliance Committee Meetings.
Adheres to, interprets, supports, and explains established company policies and
procedures as well as applicable local, state, federal and other regulatory procedures.
Addresses Team Member questions and concerns; conduct internal investigations as needed.
Develops, implements, maintains, and monitors an effective team member relations program through effective communication.
Fosters and maintains positive team member relations in a supportive environment and interfaces with other departments to ensure a harmonious working relationship.
Hires, trains, coaches, assesses and reviews the job performance of subordinates including both non-exempt and exempt team members.
Continues professional development of self and subordinates as well as assists all team members with career planning and counseling as needed.
Maintains a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self and subordinates.
Conducts and attends all regular departmental meetings as well as other related meetings.
Maintains an appropriate level of community affairs involvement.
Completes necessary reports in a timely manner to meet deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to

essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age.
Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) preferable with emphasis in management, business, finance/accounting: or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four (4) years of experience in the gaming industry, preferable as a manager or supervisor.
Four (4) years of experience in legal/regulatory compliance roles or relevant AML/Title 31 work
Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (World, Excel, and Outlook).
Must have thorough knowledge of Casino Operations software and equipment.
Must have excellent organization skills and be detail oriented and communication skills.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
