WE LOVE OUR WORK.

- Assist Sous Chef and Executive Chef in formulating recipes for production use in Garde Manger kitchen and banquet menus. - Maintain proper staffing levels, assist in recruiting and upgrading staff, and schedule according to business needs to ensure effective operation of outlet within budgeted guidelines. - Monitor the quality of food product coming into outlet. - Oversee the consistency of various preparations within the shop to ensure quality product and adherence to standard recipes. - Conduct daily walk through and inspections of immediate area ensuring proper operation of equipment and refrigeration, proper storage, and rotation of product. - Coordinate with Facilities Department any repaid issues and preventive maintenance schedules to avoid equipment failure or unsafe working conditions. - Attend kitchen meetings to keep staff informed and updated on current divisional projects and activities of the company. - Keep current on new market trends as well as new products. - Responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary area at all times in full accordance with state and local health regulations. - Helps in establishing team and individual performance in a consistent manner according to company policies and procedures. - Plan, prep and set up, provide quality service and product to all outlets requiring items from Garde Manger kitchen. - Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. - Reward, recognize, coach, and counsel department employees. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of employee performance and department incidents. - Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing concerns; and resolving problems.

- High school diploma or equivalent. - three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word). - Develop and lead a high performance department to include at least one internal successor to the Garde Manger role. - Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English. - Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals. - Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
