Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. - Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards. - Assumes responsibility for maintaining safety on the track; ensures team members are completing their jobs and reports any issues to higher-level management staff. - Catches any loose horses on track during morning workouts or in the afternoon before each race; oversees morning exercise routines and maintains order; leads horses during morning workouts. - Leads horses from the paddock to the track before each race; leads horses to the gate at post time. - Attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and innovations in the field of thoroughbred racing. - Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. - Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.

- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. - Experience saddling and handling horses required; racing experience preferred. - Familiarity with horse racing workout operations strongly preferred. - Must have effective written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English. - Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and fluctuating days off as business needs dictate.
