Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. WE LOVE OUR WORK.

  • Responsibilities include hiring, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating as needed within the Banquet department. 
  • Supervises the training of all employees in maintaining expected standards. 
  • Responsible for scheduling and assigning stations and job duties.  
  • Maintains and encourages open communication between all personnel in the dining room. 
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with departmental and Company standards and programs, as well as delivering Red Carpet Customer Service to every guest.
  • Maintains professional grooming and appearance and acts as a role model according to established grooming and appearance policy. 
  • Ensures staff is in adherence with appearance policies. 
  • Complete understanding and adherence to disciplinary policies including but not limited to coaching and counseling staff and the use of progressive discipline to modify performance. 
  • Markets and sells banquet space to perspective clients.
  • Coordinates restaurant group functions with restaurant managers.
  • Interacts with both internal and external guests in order to plan, coordinate, and oversee all functions.
  • Responsible for budget development. - Develops sales strategies and plans in order to meet approved budget.
  • Participates in menu development and costing.
  • Hires and schedules staff for all functions.
  • Works closely with Stewarding, Culinary, Marketing, and Human Resources in planning and orchestrating functions.
  • Develops standards and operational manuals for banquets. 
  • Utilizes effective communication tools to ensure that consistent, accurate, and timely information is provided through the shifts. 
  • Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff. 
  • Participates in and facilitates meetings and training as required. 
  • Maintains complete confidentiality of all company information at all times.
  • Performs all job duties in a safe and responsible manner. 
  • Assists in the training of employees in performance of duties. 
  • Assigns and coordinates work of employees to promote efficiency of operations.
  • Inspects food service areas and equipment to ensure sanitary standards are met. 
  • May be required to perform subordinate job functions as required. 
  • Reviews financial transactions and monitors budget to ensure efficient operation and to ensure expenditures stay within budget limitations. 
  • Regularly visits customers to increase knowledge of customers and their needs. 
  • Completes all duties in compliance with Food and Beverage internal controls.

  • Applicant must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to apply. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field is preferred. 
  • Five years of Food and Beverage experience, preferably with Banquet or Special Event emphasis.  Three years of supervisory experience. 
  • Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations, including menu planning, food, liquor and labor costing, budget, and financial statements. 
  • Possesses working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills. 
  • Must be licensed by the West Virginia Racing Commission. 
  • Must be able to obtain proper Food Handler Certification.
