Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. WE LOVE OUR WORK.

  • Maintains direct responsibility for primary departments and other departments as deemed appropriate by the Director of Gaming Operations.
  • Shares responsibility for meeting Property EBITDA, Profitability and other Operating/ Financial objectives as set by property senior leaders.  Reviews activity reports and financial statements of Direct Report Departments and all other Departments to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
  • Assists to maximize gaming revenue and effectively manage costs, labor and cash control; works closely with gaming management team and other department leaders to ensure all aspects of gaming operations for the property including staffing, repair and maintenance, operations, cleanliness, organization, service timing, quality product, cash handling and administrative responsibilities are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Ultimately responsible for all aspects of guest relations and the quality experience staff delivers to customers in gaming operations; empowers gaming management and staff to deliver a "world class" guest experience to all guests; ensures the highest level of quality and standards.
  • Assures gaming management and staff morale is maintained at a high level; oversees the effective recruitment, selection, training, recognition, coaching, separation and other human resources related issues.
  • Evaluates gaming staff performance and provides feedback; enthusiastically supports, actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs; follows up and reviews all customer comments and / or complaints.
  • Utilizes effective communication tools to ensure that consistent, accurate and timely information is provided through the shifts.
  • Ensures that staff behavior and appearance are in compliance with established standards.
  • Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff; maintains harmony among staff and resolves grievances; maintains complete confidentiality of all company information at all times.
  • Accompanies the GM, or attends in the GM’s absence, meetings of the ME Gambling Control Board and other meetings that may arise in order to develop a better understanding of the industry activities at a statewide level.
  • Performs all job duties in a safe and responsible manner; performs other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management.
  • Must have a track record of performing each essential responsibility satisfactorily

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct supervision of three Departments which are assigned by the GM and can be modified by the GM at his/her discretion.  Indirect authority over all Departments.   

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES/JOB DIMENSIONS:

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Hollywood from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.  Team members with irregular attendance will be subject to Hollywood disciplinary action procedures up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. Upon employment, all Team members are required to fully comply with Hollywood policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of company facilities.  Team members who violate company policies and procedures are subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university.  A minimum of five years of comparable gaming experience with progressive responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
