Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. WE LOVE OUR WORK.

- Responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of Retail department. Supports, administers, and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives. - Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager regarding any concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction. - Responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department by providing recommendations; supports compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reports budget concerns to manager. - Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with departmental and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.  - Keeps record of sales, prepares inventory of stock, and orders merchandise. Follows established inventory control guidelines; makes suggestions for improvement as needed. - Maintains knowledge of property events, activities, and amenities to ensure personalized guest service. - Ensures the work processes and procedures of the retail store adhere to established guidelines. - Assists in the development of standard operating procedures for the Retail area. - Responds to guest complaints and issues complimentaries and/or discounts as needed; escalates issues to manager. - Coordinates purchase of retail merchandise products including gathering information, recommending featured items, and consulting with the Director of Marketing regarding appropriate merchandise to maximize sales. - Protects and preserves the assets of the company. - Compiles information and reports for manager as needed. - Assists manager with administrative duties, as assigned. - Assists with any Retail floor duties, as needed. - Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within area of authority and reporting potential issues to management. - Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

- Associate degree (A.A.) in a related field; or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience required. - Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English. - Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. - Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook). - Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. - Ability to work independently, identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. - Ability to write reports and business correspondence. - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. - Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. - Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
