Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. The Lead Cook assists the outlet chef in the day-to-day operations including running specials, training, inventory, and reporting equipment issues.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide opening and closing guidance for cooks and ensure completion of work
- Understand all portions of the menu and what is offered within the venues
- Perform any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position’s job description, where, in the Company’s judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service
- Provide “A” service to all guests, holding appropriate standards of service to all guests
- Understand and inform guests of property promotions within the outlet
- Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned, ensuring cleanliness and organization of venue
- Maintain company appearance and grooming standards
- Follow all safety and compliance procedures
- Maintain a clean kitchen and safe work environment
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship both within departments and within other departments, as well as with guests
- Ability to maintain rapport and communicate with cooks and work as a team
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Obtain and maintain Serve Safe Food Certification and BASSET certification
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral with internal and external guests
- Ability to acquire and maintain a gaming badge
- Ability to work on foot for 8 hours or more
- Must be 21 years or older to serve alcohol
- Must be 21 years or older to work on the casino floor
- Must have High School diploma or GED
