Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. • Assists Track Maintenance Manager in coordinating activities of workers engaged in maintaining grounds within barn area, including the race surface. 
• Directs and assists workers in maintaining the integrity of the race surface. 
• Directs workers engaged in ground maintenance activities such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, and raking and disposing of leaves and refuse. 
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies. 
• inspects completed work for conformance to specifications and standards. 
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. 
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. 
• Studies schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments. 
• Responsible for setting of harrow depth. 
• Responsible for testing of track material. 
• Responsible for measuring track cushion depth.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 
• Two years of experience in progressively more challenging roles in field or related area.
• Proven problem-solving skills required as demonstrated by the ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when required.
• Good oral and written communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
• Strong administrative and computer skills
• Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent customer and employee relations skills.
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
