- Observes start and activates stopwatch to time horse training workout. - Observes horse crossing pole markers denoting fractional parts and finish line of workout to note and record time elapsed. - Register the horse training workouts with the track Racing Secretary and enters the workouts into the computerized database that places the workouts in the daily program. - Responsible to work with the Racing Secretary and Stewards to alert trainers which horses may require workouts in order to enter the race, if that horse has been idle from racing and training for more than 30 days. - Must operate several stop watches at one time and accurately record the workouts down to the hundredths of a second. - Must be available seven days a week for horse training workouts.
