These duties include the monitoring of foal papers and digital certificates, monitoring and tracking coggins test results and other required vaccinations, and protecting the integrity of the races by verifying the identity of the participating horses using lip tattoos, microchips, and markings as provided by the Jockey Club.- Must act, at times as Clerk of Scales. These duties include oversight of the jockey’s room, ensuring all jockeys arrive in a timely manner, weigh out and weigh in jockeys according to their published weights, report overweights and weight discrepancies, ensure jockeys are wearing the proper equipment for each race, coordinate changes of riders, and prepare and oversee GPS timing units for each race.- Must act, at times as Claims Clerk.
