Coordinates with user departments in order to understand needs and anticipate/resolve issues- Manages automated systems and appropriate data/information, monitors all inventory and non-inventory levels, conducts periodic inventory counts, and reports on variances to maintain integrity of the inventory.- Monitors safety practices and makes necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards- Monitors and reports on supplier performance to ensure high quality, on time delivery, fill rates, and service standards- Schedules shipments in and out of property ensuring adequate supplies at all times- Coordinates salvage programs to identify unused goods for disposition (sale, gift, internal transfer, etc.) in order to minimize storage needs and financial burden of unused goods.- Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates, and supervises staff to ensure that all employees receive adequate guidance, coaching, and resources to perform their jobs and achieve department objectives.- Evaluates department performance and makes recommendations to the Vice President, Strategic Sourcing to improve efficiency and meet property/Pinnacle needs. WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- At times, incumbent may be exposed to cold weather and similar conditions from warehouse storage facilities, moderate noise levels due time spent on receiving dock, and moderate physical labor from operating pallet jacks, fork lifts, hand trucks, manual carts, scales, etc.- Ability to communicate effectively with outside contacts and all levels of management.- Ability to review, comprehend, and interpret all necessary documentation, effectively manage inventories, and prepare required reports- Ability to observe and direct actions of subordinates- Must be able to use computers, inventory management equipment such as hand-held remotes devices, scales, labeling devices, etc - Must posses strong multi-tasking skills with a variety of job duties during any given day- Must be well organized and disciplined in all aspects of job duties EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES USEDElectric and manual pallet jacks, fork lift, hand truck, cart, electric scale, bar code scanner, and computer terminal.  Certifications may be required.Handheld computers for the use of receiving, inventory cycle counts, and picking.
